Did Allah Corrupt the Gospel?

Muslims often claim that the Gospel has been corrupted, even though the Qur’an affirms the inspiration, preservation, and authority of the Gospel. So we may start to wonder who could have corrupted Allah’s incorruptible Word. According to the Qur’an, Jesus never died by crucifixion. But according to the Gospel, Jesus died by crucifixion. Who corrupted this part of the Gospel? Interestingly, Islam teaches that Allah corrupted the Gospel by tricking people into believing that Jesus died on the cross. Why would Allah corrupt his own revelation?
