Many Muslims believe that Muhammad performed miracles, since the major Hadith collections are filled with claims about Muhammad’s miracles. Unfortunately for Muslims, the main Hadith collections were written 2-3 centuries after Muhammad’s death, and are therefore difficult to take seriously when they refer to miracles. Even more significantly, the Quran repeatedly denies that Muhammad could perform miracles, and it claims that the Quran was Muhammad’s only miracle.
